On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made its final determination in the sunset review of the antidumping (AD) orders against prestressed concrete steel wire (PC) strand from Brazil, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico and Thailand and the countervailing duty (CVD) order against PC strand from India.

The ITC made affirmative determinations with respect to all countries with a unanimous vote.

Prevoiusly, the US Department of Commerce also made affirmative determinations in its sunset review of these orders, finding that revocation of the AD orders would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and that the revocation of the CVD order would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy.

Accordingly, these AD and CVD orders will be continued. The next sunset review will be initiated in five years.
