On January, 28, 2009, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) announced its final determination of the AD investigation into imports of uncovered innerspring units from China.

All six commissioners of the ITC voted in the affirmative that a US industry is materially injured by the imports in question, following the determination of the US Department of Commerce (DOC) that the Chinese products are sold in the United States at less than fair value.

As a result of the Commission's affirmative determination, the DOC will issue an antidumping duty order on imports of this product from China.

The merchandise subject to this investigation is properly classified in statistical reporting number 9404.29.9010 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS). Uncovered innersprings have also been imported under statistical reporting numbers 9404.10.0000, 7326.20.0070, 7320.20.5010, and 7320.90.5010.
