On June 3, 2008, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made its final determination in the sunset review of the antidumping (AD) orders and countervailing duty (CVD) order against imported wire rod from eight countries.

The review covered AD orders against carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from the following countries:  Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, Moldova, Trinidad & Tobago, and Ukraine. The CVD order was against Brazil

With the exception of Canada, for all other countries listed above, the AD and CVD duty orders will be continued. The AD order against Canada will be revoked according to the US ITC.

Within the next few weeks, the ITC will publish its written determination with an explanation of its decision. The next sunset review will commence in five years.
