The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain hot rolled steel flat products (HRC) from Japan.

During the review period from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022, Japanese producer Nippon Steel Corporation was found to have made sales of the subject products at less than normal value. Additionally, the DOC also rescinded this review with regard to JFE Steel for which the request was timely withdrawn.

The DOC has determined a weighted-average dumping margin of 1.39 percent for Nippon Steel Corporation and zero percent for Tokyo Steel.
