The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced its final circumvention ruling on stainless wire rod made with substrate from South Korea, completed in Vietnam, and then exported to the US during the period between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2021.

Completing its investigation, the DOC determined that imports of stainless wire rod completed in Vietnam using South Korean-origin material are not circumventing the antidumping duty orders on the product in question from South Korea.

The circumvention inquiry was initiated in February last year.
