US exports of hot dipped galvanized sheets and strips totaled 122,563 mt in April, up 7.9 percent from March and up 12.9 percent from April 2016 levels. By value, HDG exports totaled $125.9 million in April, compared to $115.9 million in the previous month and $103.2 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most HDG to Canada in April, with 75,738 mt, compared to 61,685 mt in March and 60,884 mt in April 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 45,367 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US HDG exports in April.
