US exports of hot dipped galvanized sheets and strips totaled 112,761 mt in June, down 23.9 percent from May but up 7.4 percent from June 2016 levels. By value, HDG exports totaled $115.7 million in June, compared to $152.7 million in the previous month and $103.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most HDG to Canada in June with 59,731 mt, compared to 108,533 mt in May and 64,541 mt in June 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 50,634 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US HDG exports in June.
