US duties on Taiwanese tubing to continue for another five years

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) made its final determination in the expedited sunset review of the AD order on light-walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipe and tube from Taiwan.

As expected, the ITC made an affirmative determination that revocation of this order would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US industry.  The ITC's vote was unanimous (6 to 0).

Accordingly, because the US Department of Commerce had likewise made an affirmative determination in its sunset review, the AD order on light-walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipe and tube from Taiwan will remain in effect for a further period of five years.

This merchandise is classified under item number 7306.61.5000 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
