On December 22, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of a sunset review and revocation of the antidumping duty (AD) order regarding superalloy degassed chromium from Japan.

The US DOC recalled that it had initiated the sunset review of the AD duty order on superalloy degassed chromium on November 1, 2010. Because no domestic interested party responded to the notice of initiation of the sunset review by the applicable deadline, the DOC revoked the order on superalloy degassed chromium from Japan.

Superalloy degassed chromium is a high-purity form of chrome metal that generally contains at least 99.5 percent, but less than 99.95 percent, chromium.

The product  is currently classifiable under subheading 8112.21.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
