The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Tuesday the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping order on circular welded non-alloy steel pipe (standard pipe) from Korea.
The review originally covered eight Korean producers/exporters – Husteel Co., Ltd.; Hyundai HYSCO; Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; SeAH Steel Corporation; A-JU Besteel Co., Ltd.; Kumkang Industrial Co., Ltd.; Nexteel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Co., Ltd. – during the period from November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2012.
However, the DOC rescinded the reviews of Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; SeAH Steel Corporation; A-JU Besteel Co., Ltd.; Kumkang Industrial Co., Ltd.; Nexteel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Co., Ltd. because the requests for review were withdrawn.
The DOC calculated final dumping margins of 0.59 percent for Husteel and 3.39 percent for Hyundai HYSCO. The previous dumping duty deposit rates were 3.99 percent for Husteel and 0.80 percent for Hyundai HYSCO.
Accordingly, effective today, July 1, 2014, the dumping duty deposit rates became 0.59 percent for Husteel and 3.39 percent for Hyundai HYSCO. In addition, the DOC will send instructions to US Customs and Border Protection to liquidate entries that were made during the period of review.
