On February 10, 2000, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed countervailing duty order on certain cut-to-length (CTL) carbon-quality steel
plate from South
Korea.
On April 5, 2006, the DOC initiated an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain CTL carbon-quality steel
plate imported from South
Korea. The review covered the period January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005.
As a preliminary result of this review, the DOC has calculated a subsidy rate for Dongkuk Steel Mill (DSM) for 2005. The DOC has determined that the total estimated net countervailable subsidy rate for DSM is 0.10 percent ad valorem for 2005, which is de minimis.
