On November 27, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping administrative review for carbon and alloy steel wire rod imported from Trinidad & Tobago. The period of review is October 1, 2005, through September 30, 2006.
The DOC has preliminarily determined that Mittal Steel Point Lisas Limited (MSPL) and its affiliates Mittal Steel North America Inc. (MSNA) and Mittal Walker Wire Inc. (collectively Mittal) did not make sales of the subject merchandise at less than normal value (i.e., sales were made at de minimis dumping margins) and set a weighted-average dumping margin of 0.40 percent (i.e., de minimis).
