US DOC postpones ruling for Chinese wire rod case

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Tuesday that is has formally postponed the date for its preliminary determination in the antidumping (AD) investigation of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from China.

The new date for the DOC’s preliminary dumping determination is August 29, 2014.  The original date had been July 10, 2014

The postponement had been requested by Petitioners ArcelorMittal USA,LLC, Charter Steel, Evraz Pueblo, Gerdau Ameristeel US Inc., Keystone Consolidated Industries Inc., and Nucor Corporation.

The DOC had previously extended the date of its preliminary determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from China to June 30, 2014.
