On Thursday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping order on large diameter (over 4.5 inches in diameter) carbon and alloy seamless standard, line, and pressure pipe from Japan.

The review covered four Japanese producers/exporters--JFE Steel Corporation; Nippon Steel Corporation; NKK Tubes; and Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.--during the period from June 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011.

The DOC confirmed that JFE, Nippon, NKK, and Sumitomo did not export subject merchandise to the United States during the period of review.  Accordingly, there was no change in the dumping duty deposit rates for these companies, which are 68.88 percent for JFE and NKK and 107.80 percent for Nippon and Sumitomo.
