The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced its preliminary results of the administrative review of antidumping (AD) duties on imports of certain hot rolled (HR) flat steel products from Brazil.

The review covered six producers/exporters of the subject merchandise, including Aperam South America, ArcelorMittal Brasil, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional, Companhia Siderurgica Suape, Marcegaglia do Brasil and Usiminas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA.

The DOC has preliminarily determined that sales of subject goods have been made below normal value during the period of the investigation (from March 22, 2016 to September 30, 2017). Accordingly, for the six Brazilian companies, the DOC calculated a preliminary antidumping duty rate (adjusted for export subsidies) of 30.21 percent.
