US DOC issues preliminary AD results of carbon steel pipes and tubes from Taiwan

On June 10, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its affirmative preliminary determinations in the antidumping (AD) duty investigation on imports of circular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from Taiwan.

The US DOC said that in the review covering from May 1, 2008, through April 30, 2009 it preliminarily determined that respondent Yieh Phui Enterprise Co., Ltd has sold the products in the United States at less than normal value, determining a dumping margin of 5.04 percent. The petitioner for the investigation is domestic producer Wheatland Tube Company.

The US DOC will publish the final results of the review no later than 120 days from the publication of the preliminary results.

The product covered by these investigations is currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under item numbers: 7306.30.5025, 7306.30.5032, 7306.30.5040, and 7306.30.5055.
