On March 13, 2009, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Trinidad Tobago.
The review in question covers imports of wire rod from ArcelorMittal Point Lisas Limited, and its affiliate Mittal Steel North America Inc. (MSNA), collectively, AMPL. The period of review is October 1, 2006, through September 30, 2007.
On May 23, 2008, the DOC determined that AMPL was the successor-in-interest to Mittal Steel Point Lisas Limited (MSPL). On November 5, 2008, the DOC issued its preliminary results of the fifth administrative review for the antidumping duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod (wire rod) from Trinidad and Tobago.
Based on the analysis of comments received, the DOC's final results did not differ from the preliminary results. The DOC finally determined that AMPL was the successor-in-interest to MSPL.
As a result of its review, the DOC determined a 1.56 percent weighted-average margin for AMPL for the period of review.
