Based on affirmative final determinations by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) and the US International Trade Commission (USITC), the DOC announced on July 23 that it has decided to issue an antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) order on certain steel grating from China.
As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the DOC announced affirmative final determinations on June 1, in which the DOC assigned a dumping rate of 145.18 percent on mandatory respondents Ningbo Jiulong Machinery Manufacturing Co. Ltd/Ningbo Zhenhai Jiulong Electronic Equipment Factory and Shanghai DAHE Grating Co. Ltd. A separate rate of 136.76 percent was assigned to Sinosteel Yantai Steel Grating Co. Ltd, Ningbo Haitian International Co., Ltd/Ningbo Lihong Steel Grating Co. Ltd. and Yantai Xinke Steel Structure Co., Ltd.
In the CVD investigation, the DOC determined that Chinese producers/exporters have received net countervailable final subsidies of 62.46 percent.
These were followed by the USITC's affirmative decisions on June 25.
The products covered by these investigations are currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under item number: 7308.90.7000.
