US DOC extends deadline for final results of new shipper review against certain cut-to-length carbon steel plat from China

On January 6, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the extension of the deadline for the final results of its new shipper review of certain cut-to-length carbon steel plate from China. Accordingly, the deadline for the final results has been extended by 30 days from February 4 to March 6, 2009.

The DOC had published the preliminary results of the new shipper review of the antidumping duty order on certain cut-to-length carbon steel from China on November 13, 2008, covering the period November 1, 2006, through October 31, 2007, for Chinese exporter Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. (Valin Xiangtan).
