US cut-length plate exports up 15.7 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 105,494 mt in March 2023, up 15.7 percent from February and up 15.4 percent from March 2022. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $164.3 million in March, compared to $143.5 million in the previous month and $169.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Mexico in March with 67,466 mt, compared to 53,390 mt in February and 52,567 mt in March 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 32,217 mt; and India, with 1,994 mt.
