US CRC exports fall 4.7 percent in September

US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 48,276 mt in September, down 4.7 percent from August and down 29.7 percent from September 2015 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $49.9 million in September, down 5.1 percent month-on-month and down 27.9 percent year-on-year.
 
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in September, with 26,301 mt, compared to 27,329 mt in August and 34,114 mt in September 2015. Other top destinations included Canada, with 20,012 mt; there were no other notable destinations with tonnage levels surpassing 1,000 mt.
