US CRC exports down 4.1 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheet totaled 58,678 mt in March 2023, up 34.4 percent from February but down 11.1 percent from March 2022. By value, CRC exports totaled $72.3 million in March, compared to $54.9 million in the previous month and $82.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in March with 40,768 mt, compared to 28,708 mt in February and 44,288 mt in March 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 16,995 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC not for exports in March.
