US CRC exports down 10.2 percent in September

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheet totaled 62,123 mt in September 2023, down 10.2 percent from August but up 29.0 percent from September 2022. By value, CRC exports totaled $78.8 million in September, compared to $89.1 million in the previous month and $60.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in September with 47,081 mt, compared to 51,648 mt in August and 32,742 mt in September 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 14,742 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in September.
