US cold finished bar exports up 3.1 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold finished bar totaled 12,873 mt in June 2023, up 3.1 percent from May but down 10.8 percent from June 2022. By value, cold finished bar totaled $29.3 million in June, compared to $31.5 million in the previous month and $31.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cold finished bar to Canada in June with 6,446 mt, compared to 6,066 mt in May and 4,522 mt in June 2022. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 5,420 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cold finished bar exports in June.
