US cold finished bar exports rise 13.4 percent in March

US exports of cold finished bar totaled 10,310 mt in March, up 13.4 percent from February and up 5.9 percent from March 2016 levels. By value, cold finished bar exports totaled $21.5 million in March, compared to $18.7 million in the previous month and $19.1 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most cold finished bar to Canada in March, with 6,798 mt, compared to 6,135 mt in February and 5,715 mt in March 2016. Mexico shipped 2,156 mt in March, compared to 2,264 mt in February and 2,566 mt in March 2016. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cold finished bar exports in March.
