The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) duty order on heavy walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from South Korea.

During the review period from September 1, 2021, to August 31, 2022, South Korean steel producer Nexteel was found to have not made sales of the given products at less than normal value. Accordingly, the DOC has calculated a weighted-average dumping margin of zero for the company.

Additionally, the DOC has also rescinded this review with regard to DOSCO/SeAH and HiSteel for which the request was timely withdrawn.

The final result of the review is expected to be announced within 120 days of publication of the preliminary results.

The preliminary antidumping duty for the country is applicable from August 4.
