US assigns preliminary dumping margin for cut-to-length plate from Belgium’s Industeel

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty (AD) order on certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Belgium.

During the review period from May 1, 2021, to April 30, 2022, Belgian steel producer Industeel Belgium was found to have made sales of the given products at less than normal value.

The DOC has calculated a weighted-average dumping margin of 2.65 for the company.

The final result of the review is expected to be announced within 120 days of publication of the preliminary results.

The preliminary antidumping duty for the country is applicable from June 15.
