US and Canadian rigs counts register weekly drop

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending October 21, the US rotary rig decreased by 10 from the previous week to 2,013, still reflecting a year-on-year increase of 344 rigs.  Specifically, US oil rigs decreased by one last week to 1,079, while natural gas rigs fell by nine to 927.

The Canadian rig count also fell in the last week, by 15 rigs, bringing the total to 497, still representing an increase of 78 from last year.
