The Russian iron ore mining and steel producing company Metalloinvest Holding (Metalloinvest) has announced that its steel producing subsidiary Ural Steel has successfully completed the preliminary audit for compliance of its products with STO GAZPROM 9001-2006 standard.

The inconsistencies of Ural Steel's production with this standard are to be eliminated by March 2009, when the final audit is due to be completed.

The compliance with Russian gas giant Gazprom's standard allows Ural Steel to supply its steel products for Gazprom's projects.
