Ural steel confirms compliance with international requirements

Russia-based leading global iron ore and hot briquetted iron (HBI) producer Metalloinvest has announced that its integrated iron and steel plant Ural Steel has successfully passed the second audit of its quality management system for compliance with international industry requirements.
Experts from Bureau Veritas Certification Rus JSC and Pronap JSC conducted the audit and visited all major sections and departments of Ural Steel.

The experts focused on examining the documents regulating key production processes for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and STO Gazprom 9001-2012 requirements, as well as studying the key elements of the product quality management system, including the purchase of raw materials and accessories, availability of qualified personnel, implementation of equipment maintenance works and repairs, and documents on planning and implementing tasks to eliminate consequences of accidents. As a result, the experts concluded that the performance of Ural Steel's quality management system has improved.
