According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey decreased by 0.6 percentage points year on year to 9.2 percent in August this year and decreased by 0.2 percentage points when compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in the given month, the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 48.4 percent, up by 0.5 percentage points compared to the same month of 2022.
