Ukrainian metallurgical firms see loss of UAH 12.7 billion in H1

The Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom has announced that in the January-June period of this year Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises saw their pre-tax losses doubled on year-on-year basis, rising from UAH 6.2 billion in January-June 2013 to UAH 12.7 billion ($0.953 billion), despite the rise in the metallurgical enterprises' overall net income by 16.2 percent year on year to UAH 86.1 billion ($6.459 billion).
