Ukrainian iron ore exports up 11 percent in January-June

In the January-June period of this year, Ukraine's exports of iron ore increased by 11 percent compared to the same period last year to 19.140 million mt, according to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom. Meanwhile, exports of iron ore from Ukraine decreased by 9.6 percent in June compared to May, falling to 3.120 million mt.

In the January-June period, Ukrainian imports of iron ore increased by 32 percent year on year to 1.425 million mt. In June alone, Ukraine's imports of iron ore increased by 8.4 percent compared to May, rising to 220,000 mt.
