Ukrainian Government imposes export duty on scrap

SteelOrbis is reported by trading sources in Ukraine that; the Ukranian Government has decided to impose 30% duty on ferrous scrap exports in an effort to control scrap exports and reduce shortage of supply in local market. It has also been told that the new regulation will be in effect starting from January 1st, 2003. Details of the announcement will be published soon.
