According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA), in 2010 Ukraine's ferroalloys production increased by 38 percent compared to 2009 to 1.432 million mt.
Accordingly, in 2010, Ukraine's silicomanganese output increased by 26.7 percent to 940,400 mt, its ferromanganese production went up by 2.16 times to 280,100 mt, its ferrosilicon output increased by 30 percent to 195,500 mt, while its metallic manganese production increased by four percent to 15,700 mt, all compared to 2009.
Specifically, in 2010, the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant increased its ferroalloy output by 38.7 percent year on year to 915,200 mt, including 704,600 mt of silicomanganese and 210,600 mt of ferromanganese.
Meanwhile, during the 12 months of 2010, Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant increased its ferroalloy output by 33.5 percent year on year to 296,700 mt, including 152,100 mt of silicomanganese, 69,500 mt of ferromanganese, 59,400 mt of ferrosilicon and 15,700 mt of metallic manganese.
In addition, another major Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant increased its 2010 ferroalloy output by 42 percent year on year to 219,800 mt, including 136,100 mt of ferrosilicon and 83,700 mt of silicomanganese.
