Ukrainian ferroalloy output down 23 percent in January-August

In the January-August period this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy production decreased by 23 percent compared to the same period last year to 551,000 mt, according to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA).

In the given period, Ukraine's silicomanganese output decreased by 15.8 percent to 405,250 mt, while its ferromanganese production declined by 54.7 percent to 55,700 mt, both year on year.

Specifically, in the first eight months of this year the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant's ferroalloy output decreased by 30.5 percent year on year to 304,800 mt, including 282,200 mt of silicomanganese and 22,600 mt of ferromanganese.
