Ukrainian crude steel output expected to decline in October from August level

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in October this year Ukraine's crude steel production is expected to decrease by 4.8 percent compared to August to 2.670 million mt.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, in October pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.480 million mt, down 0.9 percent compared to the August results, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to total 2.45 million mt, down 0.1 percent compared to August.

In September, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.670 million mt of crude steel, 2.490 million mt of pig iron and 2.4 million mt of rolled steel.
