In the January-October period of the current year, Ukraine's crude steel output decreased by 18.4 percent to 19.11 million mt, its pig iron output fell 15.6 percent to 18.06 million mt and its finished steel production decreased by 18.6 percent to 16.7 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.
In the same period, the country's metallurgical coke output declined by 25 percent year on year to 8.4 million mt, while steel pipe production decreased by 41.1 percent year on year to 705,900 mt.
Meanwhile, in October alone, Ukraine produced 2.02 million mt of crude steel, 1.74 million mt of finished steel products, and 2.06 million mt of pig iron.
