Ukraine-based Zaporizhstal steel mill, which belongs to Metinvest, has announced its production results for June and the first half of this year.
Accordingly, in June Zaporizhstal produced 199,100 mt of pig iron, 159,400 mt of crude steel and 131,900 mt of finished steel, increasing by 35.5 percent, 129.0 percent and 81.2 percent, respectively, year on year.
In the January-June period, Zaporizhstal’s pig iron production totaled 1.14 million mt, up by 1.1 percent, while the company produced 1.01 million mt of crude steel and 844,200 mt of finished steel, up by 10.4 percent and by 1.8 percent, respectively, all year on year.
