Ukraine’s pig iron exports up by 27 percent in Sept from Aug levels

In September this year, Ukraine's pig iron exports increased by 27 percent compared to August and by 49.5 percent compared to September 2009, to 151,820 mt. 31 percent of Ukraine's pig iron exports in September were delivered to Turkey and 28 percent were shipped to the US. The value of Ukraine's pig iron export sales in September was up by 25.6 percent compared to August, increasing to $60.93 million.

In January-September this year, Ukraine's pig iron exports increased by about seven percent year on year to 1.134 million mt, valued at $453.2 million.
