Ukraine’s long steel imports rise in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 24.7 percent increase year on year in its long steel product imports to 61,910 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In February alone, Ukraine's long steel product imports increased by 14.3 percent month on month to 33,020 mt.

In the January-February period, Ukrainian exports of long steel products decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the same period of 2011, declining to 983,030 mt. In February alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 11 percent month on month to 463,080 mt.
