Ukraine’s KZhRK targets 68.5 percent increase in iron ore output in 2010

Ukraine's Dnepropetrovsk region-based iron ore producer Krivoy Rog Iron Ore Industrial Complex (KZhRK) plans in 2010 to increase its iron ore output by 68.5 percent or 2.5 million mt year on year to 6.3 million mt, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In addition, according to preliminary data, in 2010 the plant intends to invest UAH 303.516 million (about $38.3 million) in its development, of which UAH 57.6 million (about $7.3 million) will be used for the purchase of new equipment.

In 2009, KZhRK's iron ore output fell by 58.6 percent or 5.37 million mt to 3.8 million mt, compared to 2008.
