Ukraine’s ferrous metal export revenues down 28.9 percent in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period of the current year, Ukraine exported $2.72 billion worth of ferrous metals, down 28.9 percent year on year, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. In April alone, revenues from ferrous metal exports amounted to $592.95 million.
 
In the first four months, Ukraine’s ferrous metal imports increased in value by 12.9 percent year on year to $217.46 million, while in April alone imported ferrous metals totaled $64.16 million.
 
During first four months of the current year, Ukraine’s finished steel export revenues decreased by 38.7 percent to $209.61 million, while in April alone the export revenue totaled $58.14 million. At the same time, the value of finished steel imports arriving in Ukraine in the January-April period increased by 27.2 percent to $193.11 million, while in April alone imports totaled $59.69 million in value.
