Ukraine’s crude steel output up 3.4 percent in January

In January of the current year, Ukraine's crude steel output increased by 3.4 percent to 1.94 million mt, its pig iron output rose 11.6 percent to 1.92 million mt and its finished steel production decreased by 5.6 percent to 1.62 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.
 
In the given month, the country's metallurgical coke output increased by 20.6 percent year on year to 1.08 million mt, while steel pipe production fell by 50 percent year on year to 40,000 mt.
