Ukraine’s coking coal imports up 44 percent in H1

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in H1 this year the country's imports of coking coal went up by 44 percent year on year to about 4.8 million mt, with 875,000 mt imported in June.
 
Meanwhile, in the first six months of this year Ukraine's coke and chemicals plants received about 9.4 million mt of domestic-origin coking coal - up four percent year on year, with 1.4 million received in June.
 
Metallurgprom has forecast that coking coal imports in 2010 will amount to 8-8.5 million mt.
