Ukraine sees 7.8 percent drop in ferroalloy exports in June over May

In June this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy exports went down by 7.8 percent to 76,240 mt compared to May. However, on year-on-year basis the figure constituted an increase of 21.9 percent. The value of ferroalloy export sales in June was down by 7.1 percent compared to May, declining to $90.64 million.

Specifically, in June Ukraine's ferrosilicomanganese exports decreased by 18.3 percent to 47,610 mt, its ferromanganese exports went up by 1.5 percent to 9,680 mt, while its ferrosilicon exports increased by 30.5 percent to 7,650 mt, all compared to May.

Meanwhile, in H1 2010, Ukraine's exports of ferroalloys increased by 2.4 times to 589,330 mt, as compared to the same period last year.
