Ukraine sees 31 percent increase in ferroalloy exports in July over June

In July this year, Ukraine's ferroalloy exports increased by 31 percent compared to June and by 36.3 percent compared to July 2009 to 99,970 mt. The value of ferroalloy export sales in July went up by 18.6 percent compared to June, increasing to $107.47 million.

Specifically, in July Ukraine's ferrosilicomanganese exports increased by 33.7 percent to 63,640 mt, its ferromanganese exports went up by 129 percent to 22,150 mt, while its ferrosilicon exports decreased by 49 percent to 3,900 mt, all compared to June.

Meanwhile, in January-July 2010, Ukraine's exports of ferroalloys increased by 120 percent to 689,300 mt, as compared to the same period last year.
