In July this year, Ukraine more than doubled its coke exports, registering an increase of 114.6 percent month on month to 164,220 mt, which is also 63.5 percent higher than the volume recorded in July last year.
Of the country's total coke exports in July this year, 61,400 mt were delivered to Iran, 40,190 mt were supplied to Brazil, 13,370 mt were shipped to Romania, 9,220 mt were exported to Turkey, 8,990 were delivered to Georgia, and 8,610 mt were supplied to Russia. The value of coke export sales in July was up by about 183 percent compared to June, increasing to $59.21 million.
In January-July this year, Ukraine's coke export volume increased by 56.4 percent year on year to 760,300 mt, valued at $206.45 million.
On the other hand, in July this year Ukraine's coke import volume declined by about 90 percent month on month and by 70.7 percent year on year to 2,410 mt, of which 1,840 mt were imported from Russia, 520 mt were supplied from Kazakhstan and 40 mt were delivered from Poland.
Meanwhile, in the first seven months of 2010 the country's imports of coke increased by 19 times year on year to 205,790 mt, valued at $57.12 million.
