Ukraine initiates AD investigation into steel products from China

On August 17, the Ukrainian Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (MKMT) considered the complaint filed by the domestic producers of steel ropes and cables Silup and Stalkanat regarding the imports of the subject products from China. As a result, MKMT decided to initiate an antidumping investigation into imports of steel ropes and cables from China

The antidumping investigation will cover the products under the following HS Codes:  7312 10 51 00, 7312 10 79 00, 7312 10 86 00, 7312 10 59 00, 7312 10 82 00, 7312 10 88 00, 7312 10 71 00, 7312 10 84 00, 7312 10 99 00, 7312 10 75 00.

MKMT's decision on the issue is effective as of August 23, 2007.

The interested parties are invited to submit comments on the initiation of the antidumping investigation into imports of Chinese-origin steel ropes and cables to Ukraine within 30 days following the official publication of MKMT's decision.

The complainants have the right to withdraw their complaint within the 90 days following the official publication of the MKMT decision.
