Ukraine exports 6.513 million mt of flat steel in 2010

In 2010, Ukraine's flat steel exports increased by 7.7 percent year on year to 6.513 million mt, valued at about $3.81 billion.
 
In December 2010, Ukraine's flat steel product exports increased by 0.5 percent compared to November and by 10.5 percent compared to December 2009, rising to 555,780 mt, valued at about $341 million.
 
Specifically, in December, Ukraine's exports of hot rolled (HR) steel went up by almost four percent month on month to 468,030 mt, of which 58,480 mt were delivered to Turkey, with 47,600 mt going to Poland and 38,870 mt delivered to Russia.
 
Ukraine's exports of cold rolled (CR) steel in December increased by 1.2 percent compared to November to 68,070 mt. Of this volume, 8,540 mt were delivered to Russia, 8,000 mt to Syria and 6,190 mt to Bulgaria.
 
Meanwhile, Ukraine's December exports of other flat rolled products went down by 44.2 percent month on month to 19,680 mt, with 15,870 mt delivered to Russia, 1,280 mt shipped to Belarus and 1,160 mt exported to Syria.
